all girl.

just wanted to show off one of my pages using the gorgeous Teresa Collins Coredination papers. the pink lattice pattern is so pretty and totally appropriate for a photo of me, no? lol. albeit of me in full stream telling a riveting story, no doubt. this was one of the few times i had my nails manicured and i was obviously trying to show that off! i am not really an "all girl" type at all.  :-)

"kinder" champagne all round!

its a big day in our house today. Our oldest DS passed his gymnasium (college) exams! i still believe its way too much pressure to have at such a young age... who knows if they want to go to university at the tender age of 12?? nonetheless he passed this first stage so is on track to possibly end up there one day. In any case we are extremely proud and it was screams and (happy)tears and bubbles all round! Very proud...

two firsts

for some time now i have been submitting away to the French Magazine, Esprit Scrapbooking. i am thrilled to advise that i  finally received that coveted email - we would like to publish your work. C'est bonne, c'est extremely bonne actually. i love the elegant french style of décor of fashion of cuisine of language – everything French really. always wanted to marry a man who spoke french LOL (luckily my DH, as with most swiss, qualified there :-) Needless to say i am delighted to have finally broken into their lovely magazine. Look out for me in their June issue.

And rolling right along I received more "happy mail" from Paper Crafts magazine requesting a project of mine. I will be honoured to be branded a "newcomer" in their Nov/Dec '11 issue.

two firsts in a week... life rocks!

the end of an era.

unfortunately it wasnt to be. i did not make the Coredinations Design Team. i had a great two years with them but its obviously time to move on. as my lovely DH put it - there must be something else around the corner. If youre looking for me i am off to find that corner and some new challenges.
